Group: Possible Track Ideas

Today we had a discussion about possible track ideas and artists we could use in our coursework. Over the summer holidays we all decided that we would relate best to the pop genre, therefore this formed our summer research of analysing pop music videos and how artists perform within them. After each having looked at different pop artists individually, we discovered that Banks doesn't have many videos attached to her songs which would make it easier for us to interpret our own style based on synaesthesia. One of the tracks that we looked at in particular was 'Before I Ever Met You' which is one of her popular songs, although we felt this wasn't so generic of the stereotypical pop song as it conjugated her real style and image, instead of the dominant sexual magnetism image perceived by females.

Another artist we looked at was Lana Del Ray.
